I’m an independent scholar of global affairs. In particular my research focuses on the use of economics in grand strategy, Korean politics, and East Asian security. Academically, I hold a Master of International Affairs degree from the Bush School of Government at Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Asian Studies form the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. My work has been featured in NK News, Asia Times, Security Challenges, and The Journal of Sino-American Affairs among others and I currently serve as an Assistant Editor at The Defense Horizons Journal. I started Global Politics in 2022 with a key goal: to feature the work of up and coming academics, policy makers, and professionals while providing a space for new ideas to flourish.
